Climate Change. Where do I begin?
It is happening all around us, look at New York with the floods.
For you to see the effects of climate change, I belive you have to be super aware of your surroundings or very observant. Notice anything new? A decrease in certain species, or an increase of certain species, or a new species in general(could be one that shouldn't be able to survive in your country due to climate)?
Climate change can be defined as a change of climate which is attributed directly or indirectly to human activity that alters the composition of the global atmosphere and which is in addition to natural climate variability observed over comparable time periods.
I understand climate change best by putting it in my own simpler terms. To me, Climate change is the positive and negative changes in our surroundings, i.e. plants/vegetation, aquatic life, animals, oceans/seas, layers of the atmosphere, and many more.
Fact: Climate Change is not the same as global warming!
To discuss the fact above, let’s just look at the effects of climate change:
- Sea levels are rising
- Oceans are becoming warmer
- Intense heat waves
- Shrunk glaciers
- Plant and animal ranges have shifted
- Trees are flowering sooner.
- And many more, Sadly.
